After college, Javier Quintanilla has remained in the sport that he has enjoyed his entire life as a coach and referee. In Basketball, Christy was named All-Conference in 1986. He continued as an assistant Basketball coach through 1997. As a four-time CCIW Conference Champion, he was named the CCIW Most Outstanding Wrestler in 1992, 1993, and 1994, helping the team to four consecutive Conference Championships.
